About This Experience

A five-stop run north from Venice that spends its time on lakes rather than towns. The route takes in Lake Santa Croce, Pieve di Cadore, Lake Auronzo, Lake Misurina and Cortina d'Ampezzo, passing through tunnels that open without warning onto canyon and valley views.

Lake Misurina is the anchor, with approximately two hours to stroll the shore, take an optional lunch break and look across to the Tre Cime di Lavaredo against the backdrop of Sorapiss. From here you can also ride the panoramic chairlift up to Col del Varda at 2,106 metres — tickets are not included and are paid on the spot.

Cortina d'Ampezzo comes last, with about thirty minutes to walk the town. It is a shorter stop than on most departures, which is the trade for the long stay at Misurina.

One seasonal caveat the operator publishes: the Faloria cable car is closed from September to the end of June, so the Faloria viewpoint is not available on an autumn departure. The minimum for the shared tour is four passengers.
